If you are under 21 and wish to apply for direct-entry into an undergraduate degree programme, you will need to meet the College's minimum general entry requirement of two 'A' level passes or the equivalent in . If you don't meet this requirement you may be asked to enroll in a Degree Foundation course first.
If you are over 21 you are considered a 'mature age' student and will not necessarily be expected to meet the general entry requirement mentioned above. In certain circumstances, the College will admit mature age students without any formal qualifications at all, however, you must demonstrate your capacity to undertake degree-level work before we can offer you a place. The College may recommend you complete Degree Foundation in your chosen field before you start the degree.
English Proficiency
As a UK education institution, all course tuition is taught in English. As a result you are expected to meet the English proficiency requirements for the course you are interested in.
As a student from a non-English speaking country, you may be interested in some preliminary English tuition before starting your Business or Information Technology degree. The College has an experienced English Department that will raise your English proficiency to the level required for the programme you are interested in.
Direct-entry into an undergradate honours degree programme will require an IELTS score of 6.0 (TOEFL: 213). For entry via the Degree Foundation you will need to have an IELTS score of 5.5 (TOEFL: 196). If your English is not up to these standards, you should choose an a degree programme with an English tuition component.
How to Apply
1. Course Selection
Carefully choose the course which is right for you. If you require assistance please contact the Admissions Office. Keep in mind the prerequisites for courses and the career path you intend to take. Course prerequisites are listed on each course information page.
2. Complete an Application Form
If you know what course you want to study and believe you meet the prerequisites, please fill out an application form and send it to us. Application forms can be found on the Downloads page. Please take care to write the correct start dates, course name and code. If you need assistance with the Application form please do not hesitate to contact us.
3. Provide Supporting Documentation
The College requires the following additional documentation to process your application for admission:
A completed Student Application form
One passport size photograph attached to your application form
Copies of educational qualifications - diploma, degree, college or school results.
If you are applying as a mature student with no previous academic qualifications please provide your CV/ Resume and employers references.
The above documentation should be given to your education agent for sending to the College Admissions Office, OR if you are applying direct, the documents can be scanned and emailed to admissions @ worphan.com
4. Course Acceptance
Once your application has been considered you will be informed of the outcome through your agent or if you have applied direct, by email. If successful a conditional offer will be sent to you by courier through your agent or by email attachment. Please note that you must meet the course prerequisites for your chosen course to be granted a conditional offer. The offer may be conditional on you providing additional documentation, such as exam results, and paying your tuition fee deposit.
5. Deposit Payment
Your fee deposit will be listed on your conditional offer letter. After paying an initial deposit either through your agent or direct to the College you will receive your Unconditional Offer letters sent to you by courier with a welcome pack and further instructions from the Admissions Office.
6. Visa Application Guidance
For students requiring a student visa, you will receive additional guidance either from the Admissions Office, your agent, or one of our local representatives. It is very important that you are properly prepared with your financial documentation and application to the British High Commission or Embassy.
